Mallorca gives you the drama of the Serra de Tramuntana falling straight into deep water. Ibiza gives you the west-coast light and Es Vedrà. Menorca is the quiet one, all pale limestone and pine. Formentera has water so clear that anchored yachts appear to float above the sandbanks. Charters run in three broad shapes. A day charter gives you eight or so hours along one island's coastline — the most popular format and the easiest to arrange at short notice. A multi-day island-hopping itinerary sleeps guests aboard and links two, three or four islands over three to ten days, letting the route follow the forecast rather than fight it. And a one-way charter starts in one island and finishes in another, which suits travellers flying into Ibiza and out of Palma, or vice versa. The archipelago's anchor and our home port. The south-west runs from Portals to Sa Dragonera in an afternoon; the Tramuntana coast north of Sóller is the most spectacular cruising in the Balearics. Deep water close in, and the widest choice of marinas anywhere in the islands.
Four to five hours from Mallorca's south-west. The west-coast calas — Comte, Bassa, Salada — empty out at nine in the morning, and the run beneath Es Vedrà in the last hour of daylight is the single best sunset in the Mediterranean.
Thirty to forty-five minutes south of Ibiza and worth every trip. Illetes and Espalmador deliver Caribbean-grade water over white sand. Anchor off the beach, swim ashore, and lunch at Beso Beach or Juan y Andrea with the tender waiting.
Three to four hours north-east of Alcúdia and by some margin the quietest island. Cala Macarella, Cala Turqueta and Cala Mitjana are barely reachable by road but open to anyone arriving by sea. A biosphere reserve, and it shows.

Board in Portals late morning, cruise the south-west coast, and anchor off Dragonera for the first swim. Overnight in Port d'Andratx or at anchor in Sant Elm.
An early departure for the four-hour run south-west. Afternoon at Cala Salada or Cala Comte, then dinner ashore in Ibiza town beneath the walls of Dalt Vila.
The short hop south to Illetes and Espalmador. Anchor over sand in three metres of water, lunch ashore by tender, and stay put until the light goes.
Slow pass beneath the monolith, then up the west coast to Benirrás or Portinatx — pine-backed, sheltered and a world away from the south of the island.
Back across the channel with a final swim stop in the Mallorcan south-west, arriving into Palma in the early evening.

A licensed professional skipper and a fuel allowance for normal cruising are included in every quote. Long inter-island passages are costed into the allowance in advance, so there is no reckoning at the end of the week.
