Sail from Port d'Alcúdia across Mallorca's widest bay to Cap Formentor, Alcanada and hidden coves. A private crewed yacht on the island's calm north-east coast, built around your day.
Alcúdia sits where Mallorca opens into its biggest and gentlest bay. A walled medieval old town and the remains of the Roman city of Pollentia lie just inland, while the Bay of Alcúdia stretches out in front of them: several kilometres of fine white sand, shallow water that glows turquoise over the sandy seabed, and the protected wetlands of S'Albufera behind the beach. For anyone searching for a yacht charter in Alcúdia, the appeal is simple. This is some of the calmest, clearest and most family-friendly water in the Balearics, with some of the island's most dramatic coastline within easy reach on either side.
Leaving Port d'Alcúdia, your skipper can turn north-west towards the Victoria peninsula and Cap Formentor, where limestone cliffs drop straight into deep blue water, or head south-east past the Alcanada lighthouse towards the quieter eastern shore and the cliff-backed cove of Coll Baix, a beach that is far easier to appreciate from the sea than from the footpath above. Many guests simply anchor in the bay itself, swim from the stern and spend a long, lazy afternoon on flat water with the Tramuntana mountains on the horizon.
A boat hire in Alcúdia with TSB Yachting is a fully crewed experience. Your professional skipper plans the route around the wind and sea state, picks swim stops for shelter and clarity, and keeps the schedule flexible so the day is genuinely yours. Lunch can be provisioned on board or timed around a table ashore, paddleboards and snorkelling gear can be arranged, and because the boat is private, the pace, the music and the anchorages are your decision. Whether you want a relaxed half-day for the family, a full day to Formentor, or a golden-hour sail back into the harbour, we build the charter to fit your group.

A full day on calm, shallow turquoise water with swim and snorkel stops, paddleboards and lunch on deck at anchor. Skipper included.

A longer day along the cliffs of the Formentor peninsula or east to Alcanada and Coll Baix, for guests who want to see the wilder coast.

An evening charter with soft light over the bay and a drink on deck, returning to Port d'Alcúdia as the harbour lights come on.
Starting in the north-east puts you between two worlds: the sheltered bay for easy swimming, and the open coast for scenery. You skip the long transfer from Palma and spend the day on the water instead.
Wide, shallow and sandy, the Bay of Alcúdia is ideal for families, children and anyone who prefers flat water.
Your skipper reads the forecast and picks the sheltered side of the coast, whether you head north to Formentor or east to Coll Baix.
Sandy shallows in the bay and rocky shores along the cape make for great swimming. Masks, fins and paddleboards can be arranged.
We can provision a full lunch on board, or time the day around a waterfront table in Port d'Alcúdia or nearby Port de Pollença.
Experienced crew who know the winds around the cape, the protected areas and the safest anchorages in the bay.
From sleek motor yachts to spacious sailing yachts, we match the vessel to your party size and the experience you want.
The Bay of Alcúdia is framed by two headlands. To the north-west, the Victoria peninsula and Cap des Pinar lead round to the Formentor cliffs and lighthouse at the northern tip of Mallorca. To the south-east, the coast curves past the Alcanada islet and its lighthouse towards the pine-backed hills of Coll Baix, with long beaches such as Platja d'Alcúdia and Playa de Muro sweeping along the shore in between.
Out on the water you see all of it at once: the old town walls, the green wetland of S'Albufera behind the dunes, and the Tramuntana mountains rising in the distance. Linger until late afternoon and the light turns amber as you cruise back into Port d'Alcúdia for dinner by the marina.
We charter these waters every week and know the north-east coast at every time of year.
Licensed professionals who plan around wind, swell and the best anchorages.
Every yacht is personally inspected, comfortable and ready for swimming and sunbathing.
Boat, skipper, fuel and provisions confirmed together, with no surprises on the day.
Alcúdia is at its best from May to October. June and September combine warm sea temperatures with lighter crowds, July and August are the hottest and liveliest months, and early October still offers calm, golden days on the water. Mornings are usually the calmest, so an early departure is often rewarded with flat seas before the afternoon breeze arrives. Bring sun cream, a hat, swimwear and a light layer for the open water beyond the bay, and tell us in advance about any dietary needs so we can plan lunch.
Planning something longer? From Alcúdia the island of Menorca is a natural next step, so see our yacht charter in Menorca.
